SimiGon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to play a key role within our Programs Team. 

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Program Management, is creative and has the ability to direct and develop small and mid-range contracts leading into multi-million dollar programs. Department of Defense (DoD), Aerospace, and Simulation/Training experience is highly desirable.

Candidates must be familiar with project management methodologies and best practices as well as experience interfacing with customers at various levels. Availability and flexibility for frequent US and International travel is a requirement.

Position Summary 

Manage, direct, and execution of multiple projects within contract requirements to assure that cost, schedules and performance goals are met. Lead meetings (kick-off through project close). Provide interface, communication and coordination with internal and external customers on matters pertaining to project activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Ensure contract requirements are executed in accordance with appropriate regulations and Company policies and procedures.

  • Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts.

  • Allocate and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel, and purchased services. Responsible for project and financial reporting activities, reviews and presentations to Senior Management.

  • Ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

  • Provide leadership to project team and assure communication and cooperation among team members exists.

  • Maintain close communication with the customer during the project life-cycle and beyond.

  • Interface with customers and subcontractors to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor and manage ongoing customer activity while resolving customer issues.

  • Assure a timely closeout of completed programs to ensure that all obligations are satisfied and project documentation is properly recorded

  • Identify opportunities for additional work scope and follow-on prospects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Management preferred.

We are currently expanding and are seeking highly motivated, entrepreneurial business developers to help us reach our market goals. Successful candidates must understand how to work collaboratively and seamlessly across departments and locations in a team focused environment. The primary responsibilities of the Business Development Manager position will include but not be limited to working in the North American Government and defense and aerospace market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct business development activities associated with Government and Industry prospects and partners within the training and simulation arena, including market research and analysis, strategic business planning, new business forecasting and capture and bidding proposal activities.

  • Develop outstanding business relationships with customers to continue to bring Company credibility and respect

  • Conduct marketing/sales activities of products, solutions and services to Government and commercial customers

  • Understand customer decision making and funding process

  • Find new business opportunities and validate them, define customer requirements and lead Capture effort, including management and writing of proposals

  • Maintain key marketing/sales contacts with civilian and military community as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in business or technical field, MBA preferred

  • Five (5) years of directly related experience (military or civilian) in training and simulation and a thorough understanding of strategic planning and new business capture processes, methods and techniques

  • Ability to evaluate RFP and lead proposal reply, individually and as part of a team

  • Ability to coordinate and work across domains involved with the development of new business/market strategies and customer proposals

  • Strong communication skills to advise team members and senior management on status and/or actions required to relative to existing and potential new business opportunities

  • Business capture and proposal writing experience is preferred
